Anger, envy, fear, sadness, shame, pride, happiness. I study emotions in a variety of cultural contexts, with an emphasis on how they are affected by our perceived image in the eyes of others.

My research adopts a multi-method approach that includes autobiographical narratives and field experimental methods. This approach allows me to capture the complexity of emotions as cognitive, affective, and motivational experiences. My work also has an emphasis on the emotions and cultures of underrepresented groups in psychology.
